Why does the position of the head matter?

A teapot will show us why it matters that things fit. The lid won't come off crooked, but will come off after rotating to the proper position.

Its the same thing with some of our babies. They may not be able to slip through the pelvis -until they rotate to a better angle.

That is one of coolest explainations of head positioning I have ever heard. I can't wait to share this will my friends. Great visual!

I am 41 weeks and 1 day pregnant with my second child. My first was a C-section due to a brow presentation; 3 days of labor, very little dialation, the works. My midwife did an ultrasound last week and found that this baby is in the same unfavorable position. :-( I really, really, really, was hoping for a VBAC but I don't know how to go about getting this baby to cooperate so I can have productive contractions. I have been crawling around on the floor for days on recommendation of my midwife. What else can I do?

Dear "Chick"
I think you might benefit from the inversion, chiropractic care and abdominal release and a sacral release. Some how relax your abdomen, with the rebozo scarf or a Maya massage.
Ask your midwife if she sees any reason you shouldn't do the inversion, like polyhydramnios, or ruptured membranes.

Look on my site for more information on the above, and search the internet for more on the Maya massage and abdominal release (diaphragmatic release).
